The 'Buy Local' Food Event A celebration of Mapleton Townships food producers.

This year at the Drayton Mapleton Agricultural Fair, we are proud to put on a weekend of events and exhibits celebrating the best of the regions food and its producers.

Beginning on Friday at 5pm, through till Sunday at 5pm, this full weekend of exhibits and events will have something to offer the whole family.

Come meet the regions food producers and sample local foods such as cheeses, ice cream, meats and produce.

Learn and taste some new seasonal recipes and tricks during the numerous cooking demonstrations from regional chefs.

Visit the farmer led displays and talks about how we are locally conserving farmland, forests and rivers in the region for future generations and food production.

Come play and learn in the interactive children's farm: roll your own oats, make butter, cart wool and visit the animals; Violet, Poppy, Bernadette and friends.

And if you still have energy check out the live shows: Shake down to the 'Funky Mamas', go 'ga, ga' at the baby show, find out who will win 'the furriest pet' at the pet show or enjoy a selection of the areas musicians during the 'Song Circle'.

Come join our celebration and support our local family farms and friends!
